Information technology (IT) security is part of information security and refers to the prevention of unauthorised access to classified data in IT systems. IT has gained ever-increasing importance, and as the information exchange between and within authorities and companies continues to grow, IT systems are becoming increasingly complex, thus rendering IT security work more difficult.
