Counter-terrorism in focus

The terrorist attack in theUSAon 11 September 2001 had an impact not only on theUSA , but also on the surrounding world, including Sweden. One effect was that our Service´s information exchange with foreign security services saw a significant increase. The threat level as concerns terrorist attacks in Sweden has also slightly increased, mainly as concerns American, British and Israeli interests in our country.

A certain increase in the intelligence threat level

The intelligence threat was at a somewhat higher level in 2002 compared to previous years. The major intelligence actors showed a higher than usual interest in foreign and Swedish interests in Sweden during the year.
